EDAFOS is an ESA-PECS project that aims to develop and validate an advanced GIS-based platform for assessing, mapping, and monitoring desertification and land degradation risks. Building on established methodologies and integrating satellite Earth Observation data, geospatial analytics, and ground-based measurements, the project provides tools to evaluate environmental pressures, identify vulnerable areas, and support evidence-based land management decisions.
