Description

SpaceEDUnity is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence that aims to engage students and educators in the use of Earth Observation, remote sensing, geoinformatics, and crowdsourcing technologies to address environmental and climate-related challenges. The project establishes student communities that are trained to collect, analyse, and contribute geospatial and environmental data using modern mapping tools, satellite technologies, and field observations. By combining citizen science approaches with advanced Earth Observation applications, SpaceEDUnity promotes climate awareness, environmental stewardship, disaster preparedness, and digital skills development among young people. The project also supports educators through dedicated learning materials and practical tools, fostering active participation in environmental monitoring and strengthening the connection between science, technology, education, and society.
