The TUNING project aims to test a novel technique in which the measuring principle of soil-moisture sensors is adapted to measure the water content of trees by installing them directly on tree trunks. This approach will enable direct estimation of tree moisture and significantly improve the accuracy of crop irrigation needs, contributing to precision agriculture and sustainable water management.
