Description

PAS-AGRO-PAS is a PRIMA-funded project that aims to strengthen the productivity, sustainability, climate resilience, and economic viability of agro-pastoral systems across the Mediterranean region. Through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates environmental, socio-economic, and agricultural data, the project investigates fragile agro-pastoral ecosystems in Europe and North Africa and develops tailored strategies to address the challenges faced by farmers and pastoral communities. By promoting climate-adaptive land management practices, knowledge exchange among stakeholders, and evidence-based decision-making, PAS-AGRO-PAS seeks to support the transition from vulnerable subsistence systems towards more resilient, sustainable, and market-oriented agro-pastoral landscapes capable of responding to climate change and increasing environmental pressures.
