INSIGHT is an interdisciplinary archaeological research project of the Palaepaphos Urban Landscape Project (PULP) that investigates and digitally documents the monumental burial mound of Palaepaphos-Laona, one of the most unique archaeological monuments in Cyprus. The project combines archaeology, geoinformatics, Earth Observation, digital documentation, geomatics, and landscape analysis to study the monument’s construction, chronology, function, and historical significance during the period of major political transformation that followed the conflicts of the Diadochi and the end of the Cypriot kingdoms. Through advanced surveying, 3D documentation, geophysical investigations, and archaeological analysis, INSIGHT seeks to generate new knowledge on a poorly understood period of Cypriot history while supporting the preservation, interpretation, and long-term management of this exceptional cultural heritage site.
